New US-Russian Crew Heads to Space Station
On October 5, 2021, a new crew consisting of astronauts from the United States and Russia embarked on a journey to the International Space Station (ISS).
The crew, made up of NASA astronaut Samantha Smith and Russian cosmonaut Ivan Petrov, will spend six months conducting scientific research and experiments aboard the ISS.
This joint mission highlights the continued cooperation between the United States and Russia in the field of space exploration, despite ongoing tensions between the two countries on Earth.
The crew’s arrival at the ISS is scheduled for October 7, where they will join the current crew and begin their mission in orbit.
We wish the new US-Russian crew a safe and successful journey to the space station!
