Norway king flies home after Malaysia hospital stay
The King of Norway, King Harald V, has flown back to Norway after being hospitalized in Malaysia. The 84-year-old monarch was admitted to a hospital in the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur on October 30th.
According to a statement from the Royal Court, King Harald was admitted to hospital for breathing difficulties. He underwent tests and treatment during his stay in Malaysia.
After being discharged from the hospital, King Harald flew back to Norway on a private jet. The King’s health is said to be stable and he is expected to make a full recovery.
This was King Harald’s first visit to Malaysia in over a decade. He was in the country to attend the official opening of the World Para Swimming Championships.
Despite his hospital stay, King Harald was able to attend some of the events at the championships and meet with athletes and officials.
