Kenyan police to tackle Haiti gang violence
Kenyan authorities have announced a plan to assist Haiti in tackling gang violence that has plagued the country for years.
Kenyan Police Chief, General Hillary Nzioka Mutyambai, stated that a team of Kenyan police officers will be deployed to Haiti to work closely with local law enforcement agencies in cracking down on criminal gangs that have been terrorizing communities.
The initiative is part of Kenya’s commitment to promoting peace and security in the region, and comes in response to a request for assistance from the Haitian government.
General Mutyambai emphasized the importance of international cooperation in combating transnational crime and expressed confidence that the joint efforts of Kenyan and Haitian police forces will lead to a significant reduction in gang-related violence in Haiti.
