Peseiro leaves Nigeria role as contract ends

The Nigeria Football Federation has announced that the contract of head coach Jose Peseiro has come to an end.

Peseiro took charge of the Nigerian national team in 2020 and led the team to a respectable performance in the Africa Cup of Nations.

During his time as head coach, Peseiro introduced a new style of play and implemented a rigorous training regime that greatly improved the performance of the players.

However, despite these positive developments, the NFF has decided not to renew Peseiro’s contract and will be looking for a new head coach to lead the team in the upcoming competitions.
