Brighton Half Marathon: Running for a Cause

Man’s Brighton Half Marathon run for Watford hospice that cared for both partners who died

A man is set to take on the Brighton Half Marathon to raise money for the Watford hospice that cared for both of his partners who tragically passed away.

John Smith, a 45-year-old from Watford, will be running in memory of his late partners Sarah and Mike who were both looked after by the compassionate staff at the Watford hospice.

Speaking about his motivation to run the half marathon, John said, “The care and support that Sarah and Mike received at the hospice was truly exceptional. The staff went above and beyond to make sure they were comfortable and made their final days as peaceful as possible.”

He added, “I want to give back to the hospice and raise funds so that they can continue to provide this level of care to other patients and their families who are going through a similar experience.”

John has already raised over £5,000 in donations and hopes to raise even more through his half marathon run.

If you would like to support John’s fundraising efforts for the Watford hospice, you can donate on his fundraising page here.
