Hamilton tops Bahrain GP second practice
Lewis Hamilton set the pace in the second practice session for the Bahrain Grand Prix, edging out his Mercedes teammate Valtteri Bottas. The reigning world champion clocked a time of 1:31.316 on the soft tires to finish ahead of Bottas.
Red Bull’s Max Verstappen finished third fastest, followed by the Ferraris of Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz. McLaren’s Lando Norris was sixth, with Alpine’s Fernando Alonso in seventh.
The session saw several incidents, with Yuki Tsunoda crashing his AlphaTauri and Mick Schumacher spinning his Haas. There were also concerns about track limits, with several drivers running wide at Turn 4.
The teams will now analyze the data from the session to make final adjustments ahead of qualifying and the race. Hamilton will be looking to continue his strong start to the season and secure another victory in Bahrain.
