TikTok Losing More Music Amid Universal Dispute

More music leaving TikTok over Universal row

Recently, a number of popular artists have been removing their music from TikTok in protest of its current licensing deal with Universal Music Group. This move comes after Universal Music Group requested for more money from TikTok for the rights to use their songs on the platform.

Artists such as Taylor Swift, Drake, and Adele have already pulled their music from TikTok, and more are expected to follow suit. This has raised concerns among TikTok users who may soon find themselves unable to listen to their favorite songs on the app.

While TikTok has stated that they are working to resolve the issue with Universal Music Group, the situation remains tense. Many artists feel that they are not being fairly compensated for the use of their music on the platform, leading to the current standoff.

It is unclear how long this dispute will last, but in the meantime, TikTok users may have to get used to a quieter platform as more music continues to leave over the Universal row.
