Kenya’s marathon legend, Eliud Kipchoge, is not just a sporting icon but a beloved member of his family. As his fame and success continue to soar, his family has shared some of their fondest memories of the world-renowned athlete.

His mother, Jane Kipchoge, recalls how Eliud showed early signs of athleticism and determination from a very young age. “Even as a boy, Eliud was always running – whether it was to school, to the market, or just around the village,” she says with a proud smile.

His siblings also speak of Eliud’s dedication to his craft and his humility despite his global acclaim. “He never forgets where he comes from or the values our parents instilled in us,” says his brother, John Kipchoge.

Over the years, Eliud has inspired millions with his incredible feats on the track and road. He famously broke the two-hour marathon barrier in Vienna in 2019 and has won multiple Olympic and World Championships titles.

But to his family, Eliud is simply a son, brother, and uncle who brings joy and pride to their lives. “We are always rooting for him and cheering him on, no matter where he races,” says his sister, Mary Kipchoge.

Eliud Kipchoge’s legacy extends far beyond the world of sports – he is a symbol of hard work, perseverance, and humility. As his family continues to support and celebrate his achievements, they are grateful for the opportunity to share in his journey.
