Former Canadian Prime Minister Brian Mulroney passed away at the age of 84. He served as the 18th Prime Minister of Canada from 1984 to 1993, leading the Progressive Conservative Party to two consecutive majority government victories.

During his time in office, Mulroney played a key role in shaping Canada’s economy and international relations. He is perhaps best known for his role in negotiating the Canada-United States Free Trade Agreement and later the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA).

After retiring from politics, Mulroney remained active in public life, serving on various corporate boards and charitable organizations. He was also known for his close friendship with former US President George H.W. Bush.

Canada has lost a great leader, and our thoughts are with Mulroney’s family and loved ones during this difficult time.
